Fish Stock

The original stock is uncertain which makes the lake interesting. We know the French stocked various fish including Carp in the early 90's. However in 2011 and 2012 the then English owner stocked 78 Carp mainly Commons weighing up to 41-08lbs.

Since then Colin and Ann stocked a further 48 fish and have removed all the smaller Grass Carp

So the estimated stock is aprox 110 Carp and 20 Grass Carp.

There are no Sturgeon or Cat fish.

Poisson Chat are present but are not an issue  as they have been trapped (Colin removes them every year.

Under Colin and Ann's ownership  the lake records are currently :

Mirror 46.12 lbs

Common 65.00 lbs

Grass Carp 43-08 lbs

So it is estimated that there is a minimum of :

1x60 lbs

6x50 lbs

23x40 lbs

Obviously these weights will vary from time to time.
